Cherokee VFD responded to a medical emergency this morning that escalated into a swift water rescue operation after the caller's vehicle was swept away by floodwaters on CR 347.

Bucking Good BBQ Update

As of now....the future of Bucking Good BBQ is up in the air. The awesome new flooring that the landlord put in was ruined. We lost food...freezers....other equipment not working properly. The cost is overwhelming.After the place dries out...in a week we will determine the future.

They were able to open back up for businesses on Sunday. There was a foot and a half of water in the store. The ice machines are out, but the coolers are up and running.
