Soggy Dog Salon held their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 18th as the newest member of the San Saba Chamber of Commerce.Soggy Dog Salon is located at 107 North Clear Street in San Saba and has been there since they opened the business in September of 2024.

Here is a heartwarming story of small-town generosity in action. The community of Godley, alongside local businesses, recently came together to raise donations and haul multiple trailers full of supplies to support the people of San Saba, Texas.
RS Stars & Stripes donation A Very Big Special Thanks to Ricky McKinnerney, Michelle McKinnerney, Larry Barker, T Noel Wood and Jerry Burkhart for all their hard work and time put into the benefit auction for the San Saba County Flood Relief Fund. Their collaboration with the Howlers Club along with the buyers and donors was the essential key to the auctions success.

One minute, one of the biggest events of the year in Richland Springs is cancelled due to a catastrophic event.The next minute, the community reschedules it for the next week and turns it into a fund-raising event for the many flood victims in San Saba County!

Rick’s One Stop (located on Hwy 15 just south of the flooded overpass pictured above left) received evacuation orders on Sunday morning, July 13th. In case the water came into the store like it did not July 4th, they were prepared! They moved everything off the floor to higher ground.
