Marsha Smart has received many calls at the San Saba’s First Baptist Church office since the flood. Many, many people are wanting to donate and help, and some are needing help.One call was from Linda Blasky in Florida. She called the week after the first flood.

San Saba to add another Texas Historical Marker

The Wiley B. Murray Post No. 27 is preparing to dedicate their new Texas Historical subject marker next month. The marker location will be at the City National Bank on Thursday, September 11th, 2025.

Receipts totaled 2,884 head. The market continued to move higher this week with all classes of cattle in very good demand. The stocker steers were $5-$6 higher and in some instances $10 higher with 3 steers 373 lbs at $610.00 ($2275.30) and 13 steers 567 lbs at $415.00 ($2353.05).

The San Saba Rodeo and Livestock Association is excited to announce this year’s annual UPRA-CPRA sanctioned rodeo produced by Johnny Hoyles Cadillac Rodeo Company. Performances will begin at 7:30 each night. Professional rodeo contestants will be competing in traditional events.
