Risien Shahan, of San Saba, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in December with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.Risien was one of nearly 2,300 students who received an undergraduate, master's or doctoral degree.

Our guest speaker for the Annual Membership Drive at the Rylander Library is our own Linda Ragsdale, author of novels classified as paranormal historical romance. Her most recent novel depicts a SEAL team in Viet Nam that faces adversity while on a mission.

ABILENE, TX (01/28/2026)- Local students were named to the Dean's Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester at Abilene Christian University. Students earn Dean's Honor Roll recognition by achieving a 3.6 or higher GPA while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
