We are excited to announce how great Rylie Eckert did representing our school at the Cross Country State meet this past Monday. Rylie finished 14th overall with her personal best time on the state course.
Congratulations to Cindy Grooms who was the October winner of the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce Chamber Bucks giveaway. Each month, the Chamber gives $100 away to one lucky winner. To enter, bring your receipts for any purchases made at any San Saba County business to the Chamber office. You will receive one entry for every $10 spent. The Chamber holds a drawing once a month. San Saba's River City Band to resume

San Saba’s 'River City Band' plans to resume their rehearsal schedule beginning November the 20th (the 3rd Monday of this month) and once again resume their annual Christmas Concert during the Sip and Stroll event prior to the annual Christmas parade scheduled for December the 9th at 6:00 p.m.

Rotary Minute

The regularly scheduled weekly luncheon meeting of San Saba Rotary was held Thursday, November 2nd, at Pepperbelly's, Marcus Wood presiding. Ten members were present, as well as two students and two guests. The recognized National Honor Society student was senior Karol Guerrero.

The San Saba County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Sip N’ Stroll T-Shirt Contest! There were 18 entries making judging incredibly difficult! The board participated in blind voting and named Yesenia Saldivar’s design as this year’s winner. She will receive $100 in Chamber Bucks and a free t-shirt.

80 Years Ago November 4, 1943 The finest pecans since he has owned the 20-acre orchard are reported by E. H. Norris, a Kansan, who invested around $20,000 in the place in 1920. Not the largest crop, says Mr. Norris, but the finest quality of nuts since he came here.
