San Saba’s 'River City Band' plans to resume their rehearsal schedule beginning November the 20th (the 3rd Monday of this month) and once again resume their annual Christmas Concert during the Sip and Stroll event prior to the annual Christmas parade scheduled for December the 9th at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Arrowhead Bank.
This initial rehearsal for our new beginning will be at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 601 West Dry St.
Anyone interested in becoming a part of the band may call Bill Grusendorf at 325-372-5821 and arrange for the free use of an instrument. The band has the following loan instruments: flutes, clarinets, saxophones, a bass clarinet, trumpets and cornets, French horns, trombones, Baritones, two tubas and an array of percussion instruments as well. We will be playing very easy Christmas scores so anyone who hasn’t played recently will not have a problem playing with us.
