Receipts totaled 2,123 head. The lighter weight stocker steers sold steady and the 500-600 lbs stocker steers were $3-$5 higher with 5 steers 478 lbs at $308.00 ($1472.24). The light weight stocker heifers were steady with the 400-600 lbs stocker heifers being $3-$10 higher.

HPU to host Faculty Jazz Recital on September 26

HPU’s School of Education and Fine Arts will present new adjunct faculty member, James Bode, in a jazz concert on Thursday, September 26, in L. J. Mims Auditorium. The preconcert interactive will begin at 7:00 p.m. and concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Richland Springs Preservation Society

The Richland Springs Preservation Society held their regular monthly meeting last Monday, September the 16th, at the Richland Springs Community Center. Fourteen people were in attendance. The previous month's minutes and treasurer’s reports were read and approved.

Pierian Kick-Off

Members of the Pierian Study Club met on Thursday, September 5th, at the Golf Course Clubhouse for the first meeting of the new year. The theme was 'Pierian Kick-Off,' and members wore shirts representing their favorite team.The room was decorated with football-themed decor.
