Grant Hall is one of the three very interesting men who will make presentations at “A Night at the Museum” coming up on Saturday, March 7th. The title of his talk is “Mission Santa Cruz de San Saba, 1757 – 1758, Discovery & Exploration.”
Grant is originally from Edinburg, Texas. He received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard University in 1989, following undergraduate study at the University of Texas. From 1990 until 2008, he taught archaeology at Texas Tech University. During his time at Texas Tech, he directed 12 summer archaeology field schools in central Texas, including five schools at Sloan in San Saba County. In 1993, he was part of the team that discovered Mission Santa Cruz de San Saba along the San Saba River near Menard. He and his associates directed a major excavation at Grant Hall will present the findings that he and his associates made at a major excavation of the Mission San Saba in 1997 at “A Night at the Museum” on March 7th.
