Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

This letter is for all of you that are blood donors who are reading this….

We are about to start our 2022 Blood Drive season! However, we are starting with a ‘little hiccup’…the first date of January 11th happens to be too soon for all of us that were able to give on November 30th of this year!! In fact, we will have to wait until January 25th to be eligible to give again. Our second date is April 19th, so I did a little research and can tell that we have from January 25th until February 22nd to be able to give blood AND still be able to give on April 19th. I was going to tell you where these other drives will be, but when I went to www.BSWBlood.com when I wrote this [12-29-21] I could only see up to January 23rd for the locations…so I will try to keep you up on where else you can donate.

Now for those of you that came on November 30th but were unable to give, for whatever reason, YOU CAN STILL COME ON JANUARY 11TH because you will be eligible to donate, and we will be at the San Saba First Baptist Church ready to take your donation. [Make sure you start or continue eating those iron-rich foods!] So, if you will go on www. BSWBlood.com right now, you can make your appointment for the 11th before you forget.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 325-372-8570!

Thanks,Marsh Hardy [San Saba County Emergency Management Coordinator]
