Huge thanks to all who came out to the San Saba Volunteer Fire Department’s annual steak supper! We are humbled by the support we received from the community, and such support is invaluable in raising funds for critical repair, replacement and maintenance of equipment and supplies that are exhausted each year fighting fires.
This was our first year of “drive-through only,” and we are grateful for the incredible patience you showed while waiting in the long line. By the end of the night, we had perfected the serving system, so if we have to do drive-through only next year, we’ll be ready (but let’s hope there is no need for that).
It’s great to live in a community that’s so supportive of its volunteers, and it’s a huge morale boost to see so many citizens willing to help.
