Pfluger: Biden Forced to Reinstate Trump Border Policy
Thursday, December 2nd, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11), the top Republican on the Homeland Security Intelligence and Counterterrorism Subcommittee, released a statement following the announcement that the Biden Administration will restart the Remain-in-Mexico policy:
Representative August Pfluger: “Nearly a year into his presidency, President Joe Biden has finally been forced to uphold the law and reinstate President Trump’s successful Remain-in-Mexico policy. I fear this is too little too late, as his actions to intentionally weaken our border have already triggered a record-breaking border crisis with literally millions of illegal migrants flooding across our border. Better late than never, and hopefully here for good.”
Pfluger votes for final NDAA
Tuesday, December 7th, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement after House passage of the FY2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

This clean defense bill furthers President Trump’s commitment to fully fund our military and provide critical resources to adequately counter threats from China and Russia. It provides our servicemembers and their families a well-earned pay raise, directs resources to secure our south ern border, and holds President Biden accountable for abandoning American citizens and Afghan partners in his tragic Afghanistan evacuation.”
“The FY22 NDAA includes absolutely NO infringement on the Second Amendment or so-called “red flag” laws, does not draft our daughters, and blocks the Biden Administration from forcing our troops to take classes on extremism. Rep. Pfluger Introduces Resolution to Protect American Sheep and Goat Producers
On December 10th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture published a final rule on the importation of sheep, goats and certain other ruminants, which could have serious consequences for American sheep and goat producers. The rule removes critical protections against fatal diseases, such as scrapie, when the administration should be focusing on opening new export markets for American producers. In response, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) introduced a bipartisan bill to require the USDA to delay implementation of the rule until its impacts on American sheep producers can be fully studied. Companion legislation has been filed in the Senate by Senator John Barrasso (S. 3354).
Cosponsors of the legislation include Representatives Henry Cuellar, Ronny Jackson, Nicole Malliotakis, Jodey Arrington, Tony Gonzales, Yvette Herrell, Chris Stewart, Jeff Fortenberry, Dusty Johnson, and Liz Cheney.
The measure is supported by the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI), Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association (TSGRA), American Farm Bureau, and Texas Farm Bureau.
