2019-20 TGCA Basketball All-State Teams

The Texas Girls Coaches Association selects All-State teams in all six conferences in basketball. Athletes are nominated by their member coaches. Coaches must be a member of TGCA in good standing before November 1st of the school year to be eligible to nominate athletes or receive honors.

Carson Brandenberger inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Carson Brandenberger of Pontotoc, Texas, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Brandenberger was initiated at Texas A&M University.

Armadillo Basketball Teams Receive Top Awards

The 2019-2020 basketball season was one to remember for both the Dillos and Lady Dillos. Both teams had remarkable runs deep into the playoffs (the girls to the Regional Finals and the boys to the State Tournament). Success was not only seen as a team, but as individuals.

MOE basketball season ends early, but was historic

In a season that will be remembered for how it ended, MOE’s 5th/6th grade girls basketball team made program history in it’s shortened season. What looked like would be a rebuilding year, it started out by MOE winning the first three tournaments of the season.

Armadillo Basketball Team declared State Co-Champs

On March 7th, the Armadillo basketball team defeated the Normangee Panthers 49-35 in the regional finals in San Marcos, Texas. The win put the Dillos into the state tournament that was to be held March 12th-14th.

End is just the beginning for Texas High School Seniors

In Texas, we value community. And right now, community looks a lot different than what we’re used to. No large weddings or birthday parties. No band or orchestra recitals or spring plays. No Little League or youth soccer.
