San Saba High School Cross Country Varsity teams finish first in Hico Bluebonnet Invitational

On Wednesday, September 9th, both Varsity Cross Country SSHS teams finished in First Place at the Hico Bluebonnet Invitational. Listed below are the results of the top 10 finishers of both teams.

Friday night was a big night for Cherokee football. Sidney was picked by sixmanfootball. com to “45” the Indians, but our boys showed up! By halftime, the score was 48-12 and ending with a score of 48-28 in favor of the Indians.

SSHS Varsity Cheerleaders host Little Dillos Cheer Camp

San Saba High School Cheerleaders hosted a Little Dillos Cheer camp Saturday, August 29th. Thirty-six young ladies came out to join the fun. All girls who wish to perform at halftime during Thursday's nights JV game against Mason can meet at Rogan Field at 7 p.m. to prepare for the performance.

San Saba wins a thriller in the last few seconds!

Friday night's ball game at Rogan Field was a tough hard-fought matchup that literally came down to the last few seconds. The #6 state-ranked Armadillos battled the 3A Rogers Eagles back and forth all evening and were able to extend their winning streak at the "Graveyard" to 10 games in a row.

A Word from Wayne

It’s a great day to be a Dillo! For many schools in larger areas this is their students’ first opportunity back to school. Many schools have very limited face-to-face offerings. Currently, we have over 90% of our students attending face-to-face instruction.

Dillos look to improve to 3-0 on road vs. Mason Punchers

Despite the twists and turns that the year 2020 has brought upon so many of us, Varsity football for small schools has managed to start the season as San Saba High School, Richland Springs High School, and Cherokee High School each look to secure another win this week.

News From Cherokee ISD

Last week our Indians took on Lometa in an unexpected home game. Lometa’s field was flooded, so we hosted the Thursday night game. The game started out with some back and forth between the Indians and the visitors. Lometa scored quickly with a responding touchdown from Tristian Arkansas.
