    Over 80 San Saba Elementary School students participated in the annual San Saba Garden Club Poetry, Sculpture, Environmental Poster, Bird Poster, Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contests last month. Top entries in each category were sent on to the District V Texas Garden Club contest which will be held soon. Winners there advance to the State Contest, the Southwest Region of the US Garden Club contest, then on to the National Garden Club contest.

    Each winner received a certificate along with stickers, cupcakes, and 3D puzzles depicting beneficial garden friends.
