Central Texas College (CTC) announced new classes have been added to the fall 2020 semester at its Service Area sites. Registration is now open for eight- and 10-week classes through the CTC WebAdvisor system. The courses will be conducted remotely, using real‐time, synchronous virtual lecture. With this delivery format, class instruction is conducted live online at regularly scheduled days and times.

“This class format offers live interaction between the instructor and students,” said Janice Allen, CTC site director. “Students will log in to class at their scheduled class time for a live presentation of lecture and classwork, and participate just as if they were sitting in the classroom.”

With the real-time synchronous format, students can register for any synchronous class offered at any CTC service area site. “Since these classes are conducted in real-time online, students can register for any of the available classes regardless of their location,” said Allen. “For example, students in Lampasas can sign up for a class offered at our Fredericksburg site and will not have to travel to attend class. They simply log on at the appropriate class time and participate in the class. This flexibility provides students access to additional courses offered at all four of the CTC Service Area sites (Fredericksburg, Gatesville, Lampasas and Marble Falls) which may enable a student to attend a class that better fits their schedule or take a class not offered in their immediate area.” Registration is open for the following real-time synchronous courses:
