MOE wins Cinco de Mayo Classic

    MOE Basketball ( 36- 2) traveled to Abilene, Texas, on Saturday and Sunday, May 4th and 5th, to take part in the '2024 Cinco de Mayo Classic' basketball tournament held at the Dodge Jones Youth Sports Facility.

    This was by far the toughest tournament of the year; the tournament featured 16 top teams from the 'Big Country' area of Texas.

    MOE had four wins on Saturday; First Round: MOE 36, Big Country Impact 10; Second Round: MOE 24, Odessa Lady Legacy 22; Third Round:

    MOE 43, San Angelo Shockerz 8; and Quarter-Final: MOE 43, Abilene WMW 5th 13, with the win, MOE would advance to the Semi-Final round of the tournament on Sunday.

    Semi- Final: MOE 19, Abilene WMW 6th 18, with the win, MOE would advance the championship game of the tournament; Championship:

    MOE 18, Odessa Lady Legacy 16. MOE is currently riding a 23-game win streak, and a six-tournament championship win streak (7th championship overall).
