MOE Basketball (9-0) wrapped up their summer season with a clean sweep at the 2021 “Bring The Heat” tournament held on July 17th in Buda, Texas. MOE defeated the Wimberley Texans 62-20 and the San Marcos Mambas 32-15.

The game of the tournament matched up MOE and DBK Premier out of Lockhart to determine the tournament champion. With a 10-person roster, DBK would full-court press the entire game, which was something that MOE had not seen a lot of during the season. MOE would hold on to a slight 15-13 lead at halftime. Both teams would trade baskets the rest of the game. With eight seconds left in the game, DBK would have the ball and an opportunity to tie or win the game, but great defensive play by MOE would force a turnover and steal the ball to claim the tournament championship (27-25), an undefeated season, and their third tournament championship in a row.
