Reed is also officially the last San Saba student-athlete still in action for the school. She has the high honor of competing individually on May 16-17 in the UIL Class 2A Girls Golf State Tournament held at Lions Municipal Golf Course down in Austin. After Day 1, the senior Reed was in the top 10 of the individual standings tied for seventh place as she shot an 87. In the team standings, nearby Mason High School shot a 360 as a team (top four individual golfers’ scores from each school) after Day 1 and sat comfortably in first place by a whopping 15-stroke lead over second-place Normangee High School with a 375.
