This Friday night the San Saba Armadillos (#6 in the state) will be facing off against the Cisco Lobos (#9 in the state) in a winner take all district championship title bout. The game has been on everyone’s “radar” for months, as both teams were picked 1 and 2 in the district in early August. Now that both teams have blown through district play, it is time to crown a champion!
Cisco leads the all-time series 6-4 with 2 of those wins coming in the playoffs; 2009 they won in the area round 35- 27 and in 1983 won 7-6 in the bi-district round. In the regular season, San Saba has a 4-4 record against the Lobos with a 1-3 record at Rogan Field with the last game coming in 1997. Let’s take a look at some useless (but always good to know) facts about the upcoming game Friday night.
