The San Saba High School varsity football team will officially get off to its first liveaction competition against other schools on Friday, August 13, as the Armadillos travel to Bangs High School for a scrimmage against the Dragons.
There will be position battles aplenty on display for Friday night as the Dillos will look to develop their young roster on both sides of the ball versus a very talented Bangs team.
It will be very intriguing to see how San Saba responds this season as the Dillos are aiming to find successors on both sides of the ball for standouts Risien Shahan at quarterback and linebacker, Logan Glover at wide receiver and defensive back, Stone Sears at running back and linebacker, as well as other fantastic 2021 graduates.
After a home preseason game on August 20 against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy, the Dillos will open up their 2021 regular-season schedule on August 27 with the start of their non-district slate on the road at Eldorado High School.
