The 2025 football season continued for the Richland Springs Coyotes last Friday, October 10th, in their 69-0 victory over the Brookesmith Mustangs for the District 15 opener.
The Coyotes had a total of 239 offensive yards, 170 rushing and 69 passing, with zero turnovers against the Mustangs’ defense.
This makes the Coyotes 1-0 for the district season and 5-1 overall.
Billy Perry (#17), had 58 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 31 passing yards, and a touchdown pass. Cohen Ethridge (#0) threw a 33-yard touchdown pass and caught a 9-yard touchdown pass. Evan Deeds (# 15) added a 45-yard rushing touchdown and passed for a 5-yard score, while Ethan Deeds (#8) added another 15 yards rushing and caught a 5-yard score. Layne Ward (#16) added a 33-yard scoring reception and rushed for 17 yards, while Brice Roesler (#6) ran for a 7-yard touchdown and caught a 24-yard pass. Trendon Vogel (#7) finished with 28 yards on the ground, and Dalton Moats added another 28 yards in receiving.
The Coyote’s 2025 season continues, as both the JV and Varsity teams will take on Leander Founders Classical Academy, Thursday, October 16th, and the JH Coyotes will take on Cherokee at home.
