The Richland Springs Coyotes continued their season Friday night, delivering a commanding 57-6 victory over the Rochelle Hornets on the road. With the win, the No. 2-ranked Coyotes improved to 8-1 overall and remained undefeated in district play at 3-0, securing at least a share of the District 8 championship and the district’s top playoff seed.

Leading the passing attack was Evan Deeds, who completed 10 of his 13 attempts for 195 yards and an impressive six touchdowns. Brice Roesler proved to be a valuable target, hauling in three receptions for 43 yards, with all three catches resulting in touchdowns. Layne Ward also made his presence known in the passing game, recording three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.

The victory marked another important step in the Coyotes’ pursuit of postseason success. With their district record remaining perfect, Richland Springs has positioned itself favorably heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Coyotes will enjoy a bye week before returning to action on November 6 against the Lohn Eagles. Richland Springs will look to carry its momentum into the regular-season finale as the team prepares for another playoff run.
