The 2020-2021 school year at Richland Springs began Friday, August 7. Thanks to the teachers and staff and students, we have had a great start on the 2020-2021 school year. Please urge your child to be at school each and every day. This year, we have a four-day school week and a nine-period day. The school day starts at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m. Please drive slowly through campus when picking up or dropping off schoolchildren.

Parents of students (and students) in grades 7-12 are urged to sign drug test permission forms and return them to school as soon as possible. The only way the school can drug test students with a urinalysis is with both student and parent permission. Contact the principal’s office if you need any further information. Help keep our students drug free!

This communication is to transmit the school district’s School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) rating. Senate Bill (SB) 218 of the 77th Legislature (2001) authorized the implementation of a financial accountability rating system, which is officially referred to as School FIRST. The primary goal of School FIRST is to improve the management of school districts' financial resources. Richland Springs ISD received a School FIRST rating of Superior Achievement.

Student success and safety are first and foremost at Richland Springs.

Community involvement is the key to our success!
