'Be a Groundwater Guardian' 2026 Poster Contest Winners selected

    At the March 26 Board Meeting, the Hickory UWCD Board chose the winners of the 2026 poster contest themed “Be a Groundwater Guardian.” Nearly 200 fourth and fifth graders participated.

    The top three—Elisabeth James (Brady Elementary, 4th grade), Rylan Henderson (Brady Elementary, 4th grade), and Andrea Tavera (Richland Springs, 5th grade)—received Walmart gift cards of $50, $45, and $40.
