William Keith Sterner from Sulphur, Louisiana, passed away on May 15, 2026. Keith was born on November 25, 1953, in San Saba, Texas, to Tim and Dorothy Sterner.
Keith attended school in San Saba and was a proud member of the SSHS Class of 1972. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Keith built a career in the cable television industry, eventually retiring from Vyve Cable in Louisiana.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Keith loved spending time fishing in the bayous with his wife and family as well as hunting in Texas with his sons. He deeply loved his home in Louisiana and remained there through several hurricanes, a reflection of his resilient and steadfast nature.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Sterner; his sister Deborah Lee; his brother-in-law, Ian McNeel, and his father-in-law, Lurcy Primeaux.
Keith is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara; his children, Greg Sterner and wife Amy of Rio Medina, and Troy Sterner and fiancee Jenny James of Castroville; his mother, Dorothy Sterner of San Saba; his sisters, Jane Everett and husband Zane of Bandera, and Kay Barclay and husband Andy of San Saba; mother-in- law, Rena Primeaux; brother-in-law, Anthony Primeaux and wife Deborah; sister-in-law, Juanita Welch and husband Paul, all of Louisiana. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Gentry Sterner and Preston Sterner, and any nieces, nephews and cousins.
