Vanessa Ringo Patterson, age 73, passed from this life on January 22, 2022, just shy of her 74th birthday.
Vanessa was born on January 25, 1948, in San Saba to Dalton and JoNell (Swails) Laughlin. She had been a resident of San Saba County all of her life. She enjoyed collecting rocks and showing off her collection, and she also took pleasure in artistic drawing. Above all else, she loved her children and grandkids.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Dalton Laughlin; mother, JoNell Swails Ketchum; one daughter, Shawnacy Pierce; and one sister, Gailene Matthews.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons: Jeffrey Ringo of Pensacola, Florida, and Tim Ringo of San Saba, Texas; two daughters: Dallas Ringo of Llano, Texas, and Amber Alcorn of San Saba, Texas; one brother, Tommy Ketchum of Bend, Texas; 10 grandchildren: Jonathan Ringo, Devin Ringo, Jeremy Pierce, Patrick Ringo, Alex Weisz, Alexus Patterson, Shyanne Martinez, Bennett Williams, Dahlia Alcorn and Dillinger Austin Alcorn; and several extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba with Reverend Barry Fikes officiating.
