Michael Woodson Terry

Michael Woodson Terry passed away in Oglesby, Texas. Michael was born on December 01, 1941, in San Saba County to Murrell and Helen Terry.

Michael grew up a member of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church. Later in life, he became a member of the Methodist Church. His family and closest friends were the most important thing in his life. Michael would spend as much time as he could with his grandchildren; when they would come to visit, the first thing he wanted to eat with his grandkids was a big bowl of his favorite vanilla ice cream. He had a big passion for the outdoors as well as for farming and ranching; he was also very talented in working with wood and welding. If he took something apart, he could always put it back together just the way it was.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Murrell and Helen Terry, and one brother, Jerry Terry. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Terry of Oglesby, Texas; two sons: John and wife Elizabeth of Bulverde, Texas, and Joseph and wife Kate of Vermont; one sister, Martha Terry of California; five grandchildren: Brynn Terry, Maya Terry, Jack Terry, Charles Terry, and Wyatt Terry; and a niece, Kelly Shandera.

There will be a visitation for Mr. Terry at Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a graveside service on August 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Terry Cemetery in San Saba, Texas.
