Mary Ruth Lindsey, age 77, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2020, in San Saba, Texas, surrounded by her three daughters and those who loved her. Mary was born at home in Liberty Hill, Texas, on August 25, 1942, to Jewel and Dorothy Wilson. She married Archie Lindsey on May 25, 1979, and together they operated Lindsey Electric in San Saba, Texas, for years. Mary enjoyed quilting, sewing, and painting as well as raising birds and rabbits in her earlier years. She loved spending time with her family and was always busy doing some kind of craft. Mary sewed for the public and was also known to do alterations for San Saba Band for many years. She was known to her grandkids, great grandkids, and many others as Mamaw.
Mary is survived by her three daughters and their spouses: Debra and Tony Guidroz, Dianne and Gary Higginbotham, and Donna and Jack Blossman, all of San Saba; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie; two brothers, Howard Wilson and Jimmy Wilson; and one grandson, Stephen Hayes.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at China Creek Cemetery with Brother Tom Brand officiating. Interment will be at China Creek Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas in charge of arrangements.
