Marjorie Dorothea Casbeer, 71, passed from this life January 8, 2024. Dorothea was born in Frost, Texas, on August 19, 1952, to Dave and Edith (Fulton) Hall. She was the third of six children. Dorothea loved to sit and read books and scroll Facebook. She loved to travel to Montana to see her best friend, Debbie Harber. She was retired from San Saba ISD where she worked in many roles including 22 years as a bus driver and Teacher’s Aide. Dorothea married the love of her life Carl M. Casbeer, Sr. on August 19, 1970. They were married 40 years until he preceded her in death in 2010. Dorothea was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Rita Green.

She is survived by her two children, Monty Casbeer and wife Davelyn, and Crystal Price, all of Corsicana; grandchildren: Tyler Casbeer and Ashley Beverly of Corpus Christi, Carley Casbeer of Sweetwater, and Audrey Price and Lilly Price of Corsicana. She also survived by her siblings: Debbie Miller and husband Ken of Sisterdale, Pat Hall, Danny Hall and wife Rebecca, and David Hall and wife Annette, all of Corsicana; brother-in-law, Larry Green of Athens; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Alan and Linnise Arfsten of San Saba; and mother-in-law, Walter Bob Casbeer of San Saba; best friends: Rocky and Debbie Harber and their children, Glen and Michelle Price and family, and Misty Bickel and family, all of Montana; along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends in Texas and Montana.

Visitation was held January 16th, 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana. Service to be held January 17th, 2 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana.

Graveside Service will be held at San Saba Cemetery on Thursday, January 18th, at 12:30 p.m.
