Leta Rae Taylor, 88, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020. She was born in Bowser, Texas, to Robert and Gladys Bollinger on April 15, 1932. She married the love of her life, Merle Taylor, on May 27, 1950, in Locker, Texas.

She attended school in Bowser, Texas, through the 10th grade and graduated from Richland Springs High School. Leta Rae was a member the Locker Baptist Church and was very active in the Locker Cemetery Association. She loved all flowers and took a personal interest in growing African violets, crepe myrtle, bluebonnets, and aloe vera. She enjoyed sewing and was a very good seamstress. Leta Rae was a wonderful woman who was supportive of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Leta Rae is survived by three sons, Merle Jr. and wife Beth of Snyder, Texas; Dean and wife Phyllis of Richland Springs, Texas; and Alan and wife Donna of Richland Springs, Texas; one sister, Bobbye Petty and husband Jerry of Brady, Texas; four grandchildren: Phillip and wife Whitney, Nick and wife Misty, Brandon, and wife Rhanda, and Sarah; and five greatgrandchildren: Raiden, Jaxon, Hadley, Cody, and Bo Taylor.

Leta Rae is preceded in death by her husband, Merle E. Taylor; and two sisters: Clara Lee Ferguson, and Lola Faye Mask.

Visitation was Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba. Graveside service will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Locker Cemetery, Locker, Texas. Johnie Reeves will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be the four grandchildren: Phillip, Nick, Brandon, and Sarah.

Memorials may be given to Locker Cemetery Association 5074 County Rd. 246, Richland Springs, Texas 76871.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral home of San Saba, Texas.
