Juan Manuel Hernandez (Baby Bull) 67 of San Saba passed away on May 25, 2020, in San Saba, Texas. He was born in San Saba, Texas, to Pioquinto and Evangelina Hernandez on January 26,1953. He attended school in San Saba. He graduated from Abilene Christian University. He was a teacher and football coach at Memorial High School in San Antonio, Texas, where he retired in 2013. Juan was a kind man who always had a smile on his face. His students remember him as a great coach, mentor, and teacher. When the students asked why he stayed teaching in MHS, he would always say it was because he loved the kids at his school. He worked in the NYC program for four years. Juan also worked for Central Texas Manpower, Central Consortium and Central Texas Collage. He had a passion for sports, weightlifting to stay fit, and he loved to go fishing.

Juan is preceded in death by his father; Pioquinto Hernandez. He is survived by his sisters; Angie Hernandez Torres and husband Jesse Torres, Eva Hernandez and Mary Hernandez, his mother; Evangelina Flores Hernandez, nieces; Jade Walker and husband Robert Walker, Shellby Buttler and husband Braden McBee , nephew; Chris Sterling, Isaac Barron, Marcus Sterling and Bruce Sterling Jr. Ashley Wooten and Linner Wooten, three great nieces and one great nephew.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home San Saba, Texas, Wednesday May 27th and Thursday 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Holy Rosery recited both days at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday May 29, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father; Javier Toscano officiating. Interment will follow at San Saba City Cemetery.

Pallbearers; will be Cris Sterling, Robert Walker, Braden McBee, Paul Rodriguez, Jesse Morales, and Ernest Gomez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Isidro Villalobos, George DeLeon and Terry Lowery.

Memorials can be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Cancer Society.
