Joe E. Cummins

Joe E. Cummins entered heavens gates at the age of 83. Joe was born on August 2, 1940, in Comstock, Texas, to Hubert and Mayberry Cummins. A graduate of Goldthwaite High School, Joe met the love of his life Lou Etta Jordan while in attendance; they later married and spent 56 wonderful years together. After a lengthy career with TU Electric, Joe retired and moved to San Saba.

Joe served on the North San Saba County Water board for a number of years and was a lifetime rancher in Mills and San Saba Counties.

Joe is survived by two daughters: Cheryl and husband Greg, and Cathy; grandchildren, Corey and Kelley (Leo); and a greatgrandchild: Teigan. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Lou Etta Cummins, his parents, and his brother, Carl Cummins.

Joe’s wishes were to be cremated; a service will be held at a later date.
