Jerry Joe Patton

Jerry Joe Patton was born on February 25, 1940 and passed away on October 19, 2021.

So many great memories with this handsome guy. You amazed me with your knowledge of absolutely everything. You grew the best okra, caught and fried the tastiest catfish, and took your home from a shack to a house that could withstand any Texas weather. All the tours you gave me inside and out of all the upgrades you made to the house so that my mom would have everything she needed, I will cherish forever.

You were a great grandpa, taking the kids for countless rides up the hill, many walks, and archery sports with Christy (neck and neck with every arrow). You loved your dogs and they loved your pepperoni treats. All the things that you built for them to keep them safe and happy.

You lived a healthy life only to be taken by cancer in its extreme form. You never deserved this exit. I’m so blessed to have known you; you were like a father to me. Thank you for taking care of my mommy. I know she misses you deeply. We all will miss you.

Jerry Joe will be laid to rest next to his brother, Jim, sister, Virginia, and his father, Joe, at China Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Marylin; sons, Steve, Heath and Jerry; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven step-children, their children, and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Diane Maldonado.
