Jane Loreene Escoubas

Janie Loreene Roberts Escoubas went home to be with her Savior and family on March 21, 2022, in San Saba, Texas. She was born on September 4, 1921, in Livingston, Texas, Polk County, Texas, to Charlie Charpin and Daisy Ruth Rice Roberts. She married John Heny Escoubas on March 10, 1939, and they lived in Hearne, Texas, for 53 years where she served at First Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher and president of WMU, and was active in the PTA, Garden Club and the Shakespeare Club. Loreene and John raised four daughters: Melba, Jean, Sherri, and Sue. She was a member of San Saba’s First Baptist Church for 16 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters: Melba, Jean Hudson, Sherri Cradduck, and Sue Timmons and husband Jim; grandchildren: Christine and Renee Hudson, Nathan Cradduck, Deanna Pleffer and husband Doug, Kelly Timmons, Kasey and husband Raphael Martinez, and John and Stephanie Timmons; great-grandchildren: Jason and Josh Butler, Darcy and Dax, Breann Hellner, and Ella; great-great grandchildren: John Martinez and Jasper Gonzales; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Escoubas; son-in-law, Mike Cradduck, and great-granddaughter, Ashley Parrish.

A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Sam Crosby officiating. Interment followed on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Cemetery in Hearne, Texas.
