Jack Rogers, age 78, of San Saba, Texas, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 2, 2020. Jack was born on March 27, 1942, in San Saba, Texas, to Malichi and Lydia (Schul) Rogers. Jack spent most of his life as a local resident except when he worked off shore for about eight years with Brown and Route. He returned to San Saba, Texas, and married Gwen Lamb on March 14, 1998, in San Saba, Texas. Jack worked on a ranch for the past 20 years. He also enjoyed carpentry work and hunting. Jack was a Christian and attended Central Baptist in San Saba, Texas. Jack loved his family and spending time with them.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Gwen Rogers of 25 years from San Saba, Texas; one son, Ernie Rogers of San Saba, Texas; three step-children: Crystal and husband Micheal Johns of Georgetown, Texas; Alicia Salyer of Llano, Texas; and Michelle Salyer of Round Rock, Texas; five grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousin Ricky Lambert and wife Suzanna of San Saba, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Virginia Harris and Jeanette Harrell.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with Weldon Watson officiating at Wallace Creek Cemetery.
