Glenetta Sanderson's life journey began in Granbury, Texas, on October 14, 1929, under the family names of Rash and West. She continued her life's journey in the presence of God on Saturday, July 22, 2023, reuniting with all of her friends, family and husband, JohnTurner Sanderson, waiting for her with open arms. Although in body she can no longer continue the journey on with us, Granny Glen lives on through us and our memories of her, whether it was her love for country music festivals with her friend, Johnny, catching up at family reunions, parading throughout the north east during the fall, tending to her extensive collection of birds, or holding the title of grand matriarch of the family kitchen. She was the first lady of peach cobbler, fixer of fudge, and queen of the fruit salad.
From her nest in San Saba, she built a legacy surrounded by people who loved and adored her, including two children, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. With each one of us, we carry our own special story, our own vivid memories of Granny Glen to share with each other so no one would ever forget what a wonderful gift she was to life. And what are memories but love enduring.
