Edward Bryant "Red" Gibson, 64, of Richland Springs, passed from this life to forever be with his Lord and Savior on September 20, 2021, in Abilene, Texas, with his Gracie by his side.

Red was born July 23, 1957, in San Saba, Texas, to the late Mr. and Mrs. J. C. "Hoot" Gibson, and was a life-long resident of San Saba County. He loved the cowboy way, riding, roping, working the cattle, and it showed in his old-time spirit. He was a master mason and was past master, and was a member of the Richland Springs First Christian Church. Red dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and his dear friends. Fishing was one of his passions, and he would go at least once a year to different lakes in the state to fish and have fellowship with the "River Rats," a group of fine gentlemen that loved to get together and run the lines. Red has worn many different hats during his life. He was the happiest while running heavy machinery and clearing and detailing land in the county to meet the owner’s request.

Red Gibson will be dearly missed by all that had the great honor to have known him....Bigger than life!

He leaves behind to cherish his memory and legacy: his wife of 44 years, Grace Gibson; four daughters: Jessica Isham and her husband Stuart of San Saba, Johna Hull of Brock, Texas, Jaklyn Hargrove and her husband Clay of San Augustine, Texas, and Katy Eoff and her husband Brandon of Brock, Texas.

He is also survived by his precious grandchildren: Wesley Hargrove, Kutter Isham, Gage Hull, Kynedi Isham, Kylar Hargrove, Gracie Hull, Lili Eoff, and Lucas Eoff.

Red was Preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Andrea Locke; nephew, Paul Douglas Gibson; and his brother, Jerry Gibson.

Serving the great honor as pallbearers are: Mike and Holly Wise, Joe and Nancy Jackson, Joe Pete Smith, Josh Brown, Burney Byrd, Jeffrey Bates, Mark Wise, and Kay Burks.

BYOB at 204 E. Main in Richland Springs, Texas following the service.
