Deloris Ann Swanson

Deloris Ann Swanson a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Deloris Swanson of Cherokee, Texas, was born on February 5, 1932, to parents Edgar and Laura Peterson in Falcon, Missouri.

She married her beloved husband, Addison "Swanie," on April 5, 1952. The two were married for 69 years and had three beautiful daughters.

She had an undeniable strength, wisdom, and dedication to God, her family, community, and Catholic faith. She dedicated herself to volunteering in the nursing homes, hospitals, the community, and church. Deloris loved fishing, dancing, playing bridge, and spending time with her family.

She always had time to listen, lecture, and left you with great advice and a positive outlook on life. She lived and loved life to the fullest. She was quick witted, had a fun sense of humor, a contagious smile, with a sweet soul. She is loved by many and will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to know her.

Deloris is preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Laura Peterson; three brothers, George Peterson, Tommy Peterson, Paul Peterson; one sister, Phyllis Brassfield; and her daughter, Terrie Foster.

Deloris is survived by husband, Addison "Swanie," of Cherokee, Texas; daughters: Lorrie Lesser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Paulie Broyles of Spring Branch, Texas; grandchildren: Cody Foster of Round Rock, Texas, Sammie Valentin of Cedar Park, Texas, Ryan Lesser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessica Lesser of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Trevor Broyles of Spring Branch, Texas, and Skye Broyles of Spring Branch, Texas; as well as six great-grandchildren.
