Daniel Valencia Sr., 71, of Goldthwaite, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2024, in San Angelo, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1953, in Lometa, Texas, to Willie Balencia Sr. and Elisa Cisneros.
Daniel was married to Linda Garcia in Brownwood, Texas, and together they built a loving family. A dedicated sheep shearer by trade, Daniel was a hardworking man who provided for his family throughout his life. He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Valencia, and their children: Linda Balencia, Daniel Balencia, Jessica Cotton, Daniel Valencia Jr., Ricky Valencia, Elizabeth Valencia, David Valencia, Crystal Tindell, and Daniella Valencia. Daniel was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Henry Balencia, Stella Saunders, Mickie Balencia, Kathy Sosa, Lollie Pape, Joe Balencia Sr., Mary Perez, and Arthur Valencia.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Balencia Sr. and Elisa Cisneroz, and his brothers, Arnold Balencia and Willie Balencia Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stacy- Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite, Texas. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Stacy-Wilkins Chapel, with Adam Vasquez officiating. Interment will follow at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
Daniel Valencia Sr. will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
