Bobby Roy Gossett passed away on April 3, 2020, in Tow, Texas, at the age of 72. He was born in Llano, Texas on August 29, 1947, to James and Cleo Gossett. Bobby grew up in San Saba and joined the United States Air Force in 1965, where he served four years as a medic. He married his High School sweetheart, Jessie Hulme, on May 27, 1967. Together, Bobby and Jessie had two children, Roy and Vikki. As a family, they loved to travel and go camping. Bobby never met a stranger and was always eager to lend a hand at the drop of a hat. He loved playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. Bobby raised his children in San Antonio, where he was an optician, and then moved to Tow, where he welcomed two grandchildren into the family. Bobby loved to travel and support Heather and Hailey in all of their activities, and was very proud to share stories of their adventures and accomplishments. Bobby loved to golf and fish, and was able to do both quite often.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jessie Gossett of Tow, Texas; children, Roy Gossett of San Antonio, Texas, and Vikki and Sonny Sealey of Tow, Texas; two granddaughters, Heather and Hailey McGee, also of Tow, Texas; two brothers, Dalton Gossett (and wife Judith) of Shreveport, LA; and Jarvis Gossett (and wife Mary) of San Saba, Texas. Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Nancy Wright (and husband Paul) of Tow, Texas, Dewey Hulme (and wife Wanda) of Comstock, Texas, Carolyn Boswell of Llano, Texas, and Wilma Hulme (and husband Robbie) of Tow, Texas. Bobby also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all who will miss him dearly. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cleo Gossett, brother-in-law, Douglas Hulme, and sister-in-law, Patsy Hulme.

Family and friends will celebrate Bobby’s life with a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Tow Community Center or The San Saba Alumni Association. Memorial arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
