Bobby J. Baker

1950-53. He worked at Del Monte Corporation in San Francisco, California; Lone Star Steel in Lone Star, Texas; and he was an owner in San Saba Cap during the 1980s before retiring.

During his younger days, he enjoyed camping and hunting around Eagle Lake in California with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Grace Baker; his children: Raylene Williams, Bill Baker, and Alan Baker; his grandchildren: Matthew Gomez, Ryan Gomez, Kandice Johnson, Nathan Navarro, Jason Martin, Alex Baker, Macie Baker, Christina Baker, Alan Baker Jr., Kaitlyn Baker, and Gracelynn Baker; and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Baker; daughter, Ranita Martin; great-grandson, Easton Henry Baker; and his parents, Walter and Alpha Baker.

Bob was an incredibly hardworking man. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Bobby J. Baker was held Friday, March 17, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba, Texas. Funeral Service for Bobby J. Baker was held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Bobby J. Baker went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13, 2023, at the age of 93. He was born July 9, 1929, in Depew, Oklahoma, to Walter and Alpha (Wray) Baker.

He married the love of his life, Barbara G. Baker, on September 17, 1966, and they were married for his remaining 56 years. Bob was a member of Pecan Grove Baptist Church during the 1980s and recently Hill Country Bible Church.
