Amado H. Martinez, age 91 of San Saba, Texas, passed away January 18, 2022, in Llano, Texas. Amado was born September 13, 1930, in Villa Union, Coahuila Mexico, to Regino Hernandez and Anastacia Martinez. He loved being outdoors farming on the ranch where he worked until his retirement.
Amado barbequed for his family often and enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play outside. He looked forward to his trips to Allende Coahuila. Amado loved his family and spending time with them.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: one son, Amado Hernandez Jr. and wife Yolanda; grandchildren: Esperanza (Hopie) Hernandez, Vincente Hernandez and wife Alicia, Eric Lopez, Alex Lopez, Estefana Correa, and Maria Hernandez; great-grandchildren: Alexa Patino, Natalia Sanchez, Israel Sanchez, Zvriel Sanchez, Isaac Hernandez, Isaias Hernandez and Gracie Parks; great-great-grandchildren: Xavier Lopez, Maritza Mendoza, Yaretzi Mendoza, and Angela Mendoza; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Regino and Anastacia; one daughter, Maria (Lupe) Lopez Hernandez; and numerous brothers and sisters.
A Visitation/Rosary was held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba, Texas, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service followed on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at San Saba Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas, in charge of arrangements.
