Alfonso Aragon, 77, of San Saba, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Afonso was born November 2, 1943 in Durango, Mexico to Julian Aragon and Jovita Medina.

Alfonso was a loving father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather. Alfonso loved his family and dog very much. He loved to cook for his family and friends. It brought him great joy knowing they were enjoying a meal he had cooked especially for them. Alfonso will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him, especially by his great-niece, Teresa Mora, who had the blessing of loving and caring for him for many years.

Alfonso was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Jovita; three brothers: Jenaro, Luis and Gilberto; three sisters: Maria, Angela and Julia; and two stepchildren: Susie Meador and Darrell Meador.

Alfonso is survived by his son, Alfonso Aragon Jr., and stepson, Gary Meador, both of San Saba, Texas; one brother, Ramon Aragon and wife, Carmela; one sister, Lidia Aragon of Brady, Texas; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Sylvia, Ciera and Able; seven step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, November 16th at Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba with the Rosary scheduled after visitation.

Church service was held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba. Burial followed at City of San Saba Cemetery.

Funeral Services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of San Saba.
