Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB) will again participate in the Plastic Bottle Recycling Project, a project implemented by Keep Texas Recycling, a program of Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB). This project is sponsored by Area Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, with the purpose of increasing plastic bottle education, recovery and recycling.
KSSB challenges residents to collect empty, clean, and dry soda and water bottles (without caps) and help KSSB and KTB keep bottles out of the landfill.
All San Saba County residents are eligible to win in this challenge and may bring their bagged bottles to the recycling center and/or the tent at the courthouse on April 15, 2023, from 9 to 11 a.m. April 15 is also the date for the San Saba city-wide Don’t Mess With Texas/Great American Cleanup.
Winners will be determined by the weight of bottles collected. Prizes will be awarded to the top three collectors. For further information, contact KSSB at 325-372-5200.
