The San Saba High One Act Play Company advanced to the Bi-District round of competition after giving a moving performance at the District contest on February 28th in Mason. This year's production is “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” by Celeste Raspanti. The play is based on the poetry created in a concentration camp by the Jewish children of Prague. Over 15,000 Jewish children passed through Terezin, and only about a hundred were still alive when Terezin was liberated at the end of WWII. One of the survivors, Raja, having lived through it all, tells the story of the children.
Students receiving district honors were Jose Aguilera, All-Star Crew; Everett Eidson, Honorable MentionAll-Star Cast; and Karol Guerrero, All-Star Cast.
The Bi-District contest will be held on Thursday, March 16th, at Tivy High School in Kerrville.
