There was a lot of discussion and anticipation about who will be the two major players on February 12, 2023, at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for Super Bowl LVII or 57. There will only be one victor in the final game. That final game (battle) reminds me of something in the Bible.
There have been battles going on between good and evil, God and Satan, ever since Satan and over one third of the angels rebelled against God shortly after creation. God cast them out of heaven, (Revelation 12:4, 9).
What did Satan do or become, (Ezekiel 28:11-19, Isaiah 14:13, 14)? There have been centuries upon centuries of conflict since then. Satan has been trying to kill or destroy everyone he can, (John 10:10).
There will come a time when all the evil forces will do Battle with Jesus, and they will be defeated, (Revelation 16:14-16, 17:14, 19:20, 21; Mark 4:39-41). At this battle, Jesus Christ finally defeats all His evil foes.
If we have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are on the winning team, (John 3:16-20, 1 John 5:1-5). He is the victor!
I will try to deal with some of these events in future articles. Future events (prophecies) in the Bible can be like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. You just want to try and get all the pieces in the right places. See you in Church next Sunday.
