San Saba Garden Club announces fall decorating contest winners

San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) is proud to announce the winners of its third annual San Saba Fall Decorating Contest for businesses and residences.

First-place winner in the business category was awarded to Sings My Soule Boutique at 108 S. Cherokee. The Open Door, located at 415 E. Wallace, received second place. Congratulations to both for their active participation in keeping San Saba a beautiful hill country town and an increasingly attractive tourist destination.

In the residence category, Linda Parks on West Dry Street won first place for a lavish fall display of hay bales, pumpkins, turkeys, floral garlands, and scarecrows. With its eye-catching profusion of autumn colors and traditional Thanksgiving figures, Jack and Sandra Vaughn’s yard on North 9th Street received second place. The Garden Club wishes to thank all San Sabans who took time to decorate their yards so festively. Residents of our town are fortunate to have neighbors who help make this hill country gem a showplace.

All winners received homemade pies or cakes compliments of San Saba Garden Club members.
