The Angels Unaware gift distribution is fast approaching for our 2022 Christmas season, and we are asking our gracious San Saba County community to help us make this year special for children who are in need. The Angels Unaware program is organized by the San Saba County Child Welfare Board (SSCCWB) and relies on our community to purchase gifts for children ages birth through 6th grade whose families need a helping hand to make this Christmas a special one. The David Williams Memorial Christmas tree will again be decorated with numbered ornaments in the atrium of the Arrowhead Bank building on November 12th. Each ornament represents one child and will include gift suggestions and clothing sizes (if needed). The gift limit for each child is $40. If you would like to donate money to go towards purchasing gifts, you may make the checks out to San Saba County CWB and drop them off at Arrowhead National Bank. Donations can also be given in person to any of the 2022 SSCCWB members to include: Maria Guerrero, Mike & Debbie Phelan, Monica Shahan, Kim Daniel, Kathy Brockman, Keith Davis, Shawn Hull, Mary Dell Rhoades, Michele Whitley, and Jody Fauley.
Unwrapped gifts need to be dropped off at Alamo Pecan & Coffee. We ask that you drop them off no later than Monday, December 12th, so we have time to wrap them before delivery. The gifts will be delivered by volunteer firemen Wednesday, December 21st.
If you know of child in San Saba County that may qualify for this program, please contact Corina Fauley at 325-205-1454. Please submit names no later than December 9th so we have time to purchase gifts before delivery.
We thank you in advance for your kindness!
