Receipts totaled 2,252 head. The demand improved this week on the better calves and yearlings. The stocker steers were $5-$8 higher, and the heifers were steady on the lighter stocker heifers and were $6$10 higher on the medium to heavier weight stocker heifers. Feeder steers were steady to $3 higher, and feeder heifers were $3-$4 higher with 2 steers 808 lbs at $147.00 ($1187.76) and 3 heifers 777 lbs at $140.00 ($1087.80). Packer cows were $3 higher and bulls were steady. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test. The 9th Annual Hill Country Youth Heifer sale that offered mainly winter to late spring calving heifers and brought mostly from $1275 up to $3500. The open heifers with just a few on hand went from $970 to $1625.
