Yes, in 25 days or so we get to go exercise, one of the greatest privileges this country offers. We get to go to the voting places and choose who we want to be our leaders. It is a privilege this country offers, and it is our individual personal choice. I don’t have to tell anyone the ones I have chosen as that is my private matter. Also, I should not be pressured by anyone, or any group, and I am not to be intimidated in any way. My choices are mine and mine alone, and I should not be coerced to vote a particular way.
Thinking about making choices reminds me of something in the Bible. When God chose to create everything, He created man in His image, (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27). I don’t know that I understand all that it means but one thing - God has the freedom to choose and is not accountable to anyone.
He gave us the freedom or ability to make choices also, but we are accountable to God for our actions and choices, good or bad. Adam and Eve in the garden made a bad choice, (Genesis 2:15-17, 3:11-19).
One of the most important choices we can make is either to accept or reject God, (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20, Joshua 24:15-24, Proverbs 1:24-33). The way is by accepting Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, (1 Peter 3:18, John 3:16). See you in Church next Sunday.
